Annual Meeting

The annual meeting of the Nebraska Distance Learning Association was called to order at 11:30 a.m. by President Sarah Cunningham. In attendance were the following officers: Sarah Cunningham, President; Liz Hoffman, President-elect; Carl Mesecher, Secretary; and Shirley Schall, Past President. Board Members present included: Phyllis Brunken; Wayne Erickson; Randy Hiatt; Pat Hoffman; and Max Thacker. Members and others present were Vernon Jiles, Aimee Lempke, Wanda Kjar Weekly, Kevin Nolan, Art Tanderup, Gwen Nugent, Chris Petroff, John Stritt, Pattie Carstens, Carol Pullen, Cindy Plate, Doug Hann, Mark Hildebrand, Jereme Patterson, Craig Carlson, John McAdam, H. Lynn Bradman, and Bob Huber.

President Sarah Cunningham reported that everyone needs to renew/pay NDLA dues by June 30, 2002. The fiscal year is now July 1 to June 30.

Art Tanderup was elected as vice president by a voice vote.

Patti Carstens was elected as secretary by a voice vote.

Max Thacker was elected as treasurer by a voice vote.

Gloria Vavricka, Wanda Kjar Weekly and John Stritt were appointed as program chairs for the 2003 conference.

Lt. Colonel Vernon Jiles was appointed by Sarah Cunningham to replace Max Thacker on the board.

Sarah Cunningham acknowledged Liz Hoffman who, as president-elect, automatically assumes the presidency at the end of the meeting on this date.

Dr. Cunningham adjourned the meeting at 12:00 noon.
